Course Description
The ExtremeXOS: Extreme Networks Specialist (ENS) - Accelerated (ENSA-300) training course provides instructor-led lectures and laboratory exercises at a rapid pace. In a five-day period the course presents the topics, commands, and hands-on labs of the following four ExtremeXOS ENS Level courses:
- ExtremeXOS: Implementing Advanced OSPF Networks (EIAO)
- ExtremeXOS: Implementing Redundant Networks (EIRN)
- ExtremeXOS: Implementing Multicast Routing (EIMR)
- ExtremeXOS: Implementing Advanced Security (EIAS)
This course is prerequisite for Extreme Network Specialist (ENS) certification.
Intended AudienceThe primary audience for this course is network switch administrators who wish to learn the Extreme Networks switch implementation and have a strong background and experience in switch management and network configuration and maintenance. Students should have completed a network certification training program and/or had at least one year of experience configuring and supporting switches and networks.
A student must have the following skills or knowledge prior to attending this course:
- Extreme Networks ENA Level certification or equivalent skills and experience
- One year experience as an administrator configuring and supporting switches and networks
- Solid theoretical and practical understanding of networking basics, including: TCP/IP addressing/ subnet masks, bridging, switching protocols, and other LAN fundamentals.
Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the students will be able to:
- Configure and troubleshoot an OSPF network
- Select, configure, and troubleshoot the correct protocol for redundancy within your network
- Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 and IP based multicast routed networks
- Configure Access Control Lists (ACLs) and sFlowâÀ¢ ® in Extreme Networks switches
